Oil exploration and discovery within Wyoming has roots in the early 1800s, when this wild, beautiful country was still referred to as the Wyoming Territory, and still seemed boundless, raw, expansive, and virginal. One of the early explorers of this great territory, Captain Benjamin Bonneville, made a note in 1832 of a great “Tar Spring” that was much revered by fur trappers and the Native American population for its medicinal, healing properties.

Other than retrieving a small quantity for use as horse ointment and treatment for their own aches and pains, the area remained untouched for the next fifty years, when a wildcatter named Mike Murphy ventured to that still undeveloped locale, braving Indian attacks and wild country, to drill Wyoming’s very first oil well. The oil was discovered at a depth of 300 feet near the very site Captain Bonneville and his men had stumbled upon a half-century prior. Word of Murphy’s find soon spread, and quickly, like-minded entrepreneurs rushed to the territory, many leaving California and their golden dreams, choosing instead to stake their claims for the crude at promising sites.

The most profitable of the new claims was the Salt Creek field discovered in 1887 by Cyrus William “Cy” Iba. Iba and family left California at the end of the gold rush and staked nearly 30 claims, but after a legal grapple with a group of New York investors known as “The Central Association of Wyoming” was left with only a small 80 acre parcel of what had become known as the “Jackass Claim”. This 80 acre claim would prove to be one of the largest oil supplies within Wyoming’s borders for many years to come.

The expansion of the Union Pacific Railroad Line brought more people, more business, and more industry to the territory; many of them were attracted by hopes of capitalizing on Wyoming’s newly discovered natural resource. The 1890s brought more significant oil strikes and investors banded together to finance Wyoming’s first oil refinery in 1895. The invention of the automobile created a new demand for the oil, and production and refining began to boom in Wyoming. The 1920s saw many more oil wells springing up and in fact, one fifth of all the oil produced and refined in the United States in that decade was extracted at the Salt Creek field. Oil production continues in Wyoming in the present. Though many of its once ripe fields are exhausted, Wyoming’s place in the nation’s history of oil exploration continues.

Once upon a time, prior to Super Tuesday I, Hillary clinton wasn’t gong to worry about Wyoming. There aren’t enough delegates there to even worry about. Besides, Wyoming is a caucus state, a red state, and there are bigger fish to fry. That was then, this is now when there’s only two states between here and Pennsylvania: Mississippi which she will lose and then Wyoming.

According to Politico, “Hillary has five staffers on the ground in Wyoming, where caucuses take place Saturday and where 18 delegates are at stake. Bill Clinton will make three stops there, and local supporters are trying to arrange a visit from the candidate herself Friday. The Democratic dilemma moves on to Wymoing!

“I think we can win,” said Kathy Karpan, a former Democratic candidate for Wyoming governor who is one of Clinton’s leading supporters in the state, citing “the connection that the Clintons have with people in our state,” a network of support built during their White House years, when they vacationed at Jackson Hole. So, will Hillary be able to bring down the Obama caucus mystique? She won the popular vote in Texas last Tuesday but lost in total delegates due to Obama’s caucus expertise.

Prior to Super Tuesday II, no one was thinking, or caring, about Wyoming. Interesting. Mentally, most people pencilled Wyoming in as an Obama state, but of course there’s been no polling there nor was there in the other Wyoming-esque states that Obama won earlier in the cycle. Nobody really knows what such innovations as staff and candidate visits might be able to do for Clinton’s fortunes. But you can bet that Wyoming is a bttle ground now. Maybe Obama needs to pray more! Obama desperately needs to stop the three state bleeding and a Wyoming-Missippi win over the next four days would go a long way to do exactly that!

There are many child support services you can take advantage of by contacting your local agency. Services may vary from state to state. Wyoming child support services are available to all single parents who need assistance in establishing child support, and collecting child support payments. Wyoming child support services can assist parents in several ways, for example, establishing a child support order, establishing paternity, enforcing child support payments, and many more.

Before a single parent can establish child support, they must first locate the non-custodial parent and establish paternity. Once a DNA test is done to determine the father, child support orders will be giving to the parent to make timely payments as soon as possible. When applying for Wyoming child support, single parents who are receiving assistance from the state or federal government will be referred to the Wyoming child support enforcement services. You can contact your local child support office to obtain and fill out an application for services.

You must complete the form and return it with a $25 application fee to your local Wyoming child support office. Try to provide as much information about your child and the non-custodial parent. The reason they ask for as much information on the non-custodial parent is so that it would be easier for them to be located. When the non-custodial parent is ordered to pay child support and they refuse to pay, the Wyoming child support enforcement office will take action. The child support enforcement office has several actions they will execute in order to collect past due child support for the non-custodial parents.
Some of these actions include reporting the non-custodial parents to the credit bureau, placing liens on private properties or bank accounts, pass port denial, contempt of court, driver’s or professional license revoke, or the interception of the non-custodial parent’s IRS tax refund.

When making payments, the Wyoming child support office prefers withholding the payments from the non-custodial parent’s income. When the payments have been garnished from the non-custodial parent’s income, the payments are then sent to the child support agency to be verified and sent out the single parents. Every state in America were required to develop income withholding from all non-custodial parents paying child support. States were also allowed to report any delinquent parents to consumer credit agencies if they were past due on their payments.

What comes to your mind when you think of Wyoming? Maybe it’s beautiful mountains and pristine streams. Maybe it’s cowboys and ranches? Or maybe you think of Wyoming as an unspoiled part of America. Any one of these is correct, but Wyoming is also so much more. It’s a land of unbound opportunity and lifetimes of miles to explore. Wyoming is western and rustic. The state is full of western heritage and culture as well as outdoors and nature activities. If you are looking for a memorable adventure Wyoming is the perfect destination for you.

The most well known and clearly the best thing to do in Wyoming is to visit Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone is not only the first national park in the United States but the first national park in the world. The top attraction in Yellowstone is the Old Faithful geyser and the other hot pools and geysers in the park. Many of these can be seen in one day, but to really experience all of Yellowstone one must hike into the back country or take on of the exciting and interesting tours offered by various guide services.

Near Yellowstone is the Jackson Hole and Jackson area. With the Grand Teton Mountains and the Bridger-Teton National Forest as well as Jackson Lake you have a combination that creates one of the most breath-taking places on earth. Many enjoy spending their time here at a dude ranch or bed and breakfast. In the winter you can ski world class slopes and in the summer you can hike, mountain bike, and lake.

With so much natural scenery even the non-hiker can’t help but wonder down one of the many trails. With everything from easy short trails to challenging trails leading to peaks there is a trail for you. On the short trails comfortable shoes and a water bottle are probably enough but for the longer trails, including overnighters, you will want to prepare more.

Prepare your camera and camcorder to capture the wonderful and beautiful sceneries and wildlife. If you prepare and plan the trip properly, the trip will be a pleasant and joyous trip for you and your family. There are many helpful sources of information about Wyoming vacation for transportation, accommodation, food, sightseeing and activities from the web, travel agents.

Wyoming is known to be one of the best places to go for vacations, hiking, snowmobiling, hunting, and of course, fishing. A lot of people carefully plan to visit the state and get prepared to indulge in different hobbies whether from simple relaxation to any sport such as game fishing.

Walleye are thought of as the most tasteful fresh water fish around. The white, flaky meat that comes from walleye provides for some of the best post fishing expedition meals an angler could ask for. Just as anglers are not picky about how their walleye is served, walleye are not picky about what goes in its mouth. A good rule of thumb is that if it moves, the walleye are interested in eating it. Deeper water levels provide the perfect opportunities to strike on unsuspecting prey. They can jump in and snatch the food up virtually undetected. During the warmth of the summer months, walleye tend to reside closer to the water surface. Ideal fishing times are sundown to midnight.

One of the greatest things about walleye fishing in Wyoming is all the natural lakes and reservoirs available. Overall, Wyoming offers up roughly 300,000 acres of water that comprise 4,200 lakes in the state. Add to this an additional 27,000 miles of rivers and it is easy to see why Wyoming ranks as a walleye hot spot. Other walleye hot spots in Wyoming is going to be anywhere there is suitable vegetation available. This is going to be present in lakes and reservoirs. Here any weeded area is sure to be hiding a walleye or two. The bottom surface is mostly hard gravel. Favorite walleye spots in Wyoming come from many of the major lakes. These include Bighorn Lake and Ocean Lake. Another hideout spot are the numerous water reservoirs found in Wyoming. Some include Boysen Reservoir, Glendo Reservoir, Grayrocks Reservoir and Seminole Reservoir.

The record walleye catch was 17 pounds, 7 ounces and made in Boysen Reservoir. Seasons Change The key to successful walleye fishing in Wyoming waters is knowing where they are hiding during each season of the year. Start with springtime which finds walleyes heading for shallow waters. This signals the start of spawning season. Walleye are drawn from the lakes and reservoirs into feeder streams. Actually, any clean bottom surfaced area in shallow waters is suitable. Ideal bait choices are small crank baits, jigs and plastic worms.

Wyoming walleye seem to prefer the calmness of lakes and reservoirs to the fast paced action of rivers. Ideal spots in these bodies of water are large sand flat areas. As spawning season comes to a close in May, walleye will hang out in the open on top of the bottom surfaces. Males especially prefer sticking around the spawning sites to feed after others have moved on. Capitalize on this by creating the perfect rig setting. Use a live bait with a weight level set at distances suitable for the water clarity levels. For clear water, six to eight feet of space between the two should be sufficient. Murkier waters may call for at least 30 inches in distance points.

Wyoming is one of the best vacation spots in the United States. There are a number of places of great tourist attraction. Grasslands, mountains, forests, deserts, rivers and lakes present tourists with some of the most breathtaking scenery. Panoramic mountain views, rushing trout streams and sky-scraping aspen, spruce and fir trees provide a stunning backdrop at Wyoming’s national parks, forests and monuments. Wyoming boasts of having America’s first national monument, Devils Tower, which is popular for its hiking and climbing expeditions. It is also home to the country’s first national forest, Shoshone National Forest, which is one of the largest forests in the country.

For tourists who prefer the wonders of nature to man made ones, Wyoming presents the Old Faithful and Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone National Park is the world’s first national park. It also happens to be America’s second largest. Even though the park is home to hundreds of species of birds, game fish and mammals it is most famous for its black and grizzly bears. Wyoming is famous for its game and fishing. It also offers horseback riding, golf and rock climbing. Each season provides a different experience in Wyoming. Summer is the best time to visit the state. In summer, tourists can enjoy hiking, and horseback riding, biking, rafting and kayaking. In winter, Wyoming offers skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, dog sledding. The spring season is a beautiful time to visit Wyoming too. Wildlife is aplenty in Wyoming and viewing animals is more common during spring.

Every region of Wyoming has its own unique vegetation, wildlife, weather and geologic formations. From Old Faithful to Devils Tower, nature has sketched amazing landscapes and geo-thermal features for people to enjoy. Yellowstone National Park and Hot Springs State Park have many geo-thermal attractions. It offers a variety of out door tourist activities like float trip on the Snake River, herding cattle in the Big Horn Mountains, biking in the Snowy Range or climbing the Tetons. Tourists will also find wonderful trail, which allow them to hike, backpack or fly-fish. Wildlife photography or bird watching is also another good way to pass time, as the state is teeming with animal and bird wildlife. For tourists who enjoy physical exercise, Wyoming offers rock climbing, kayaking, snowboarding, parasailing, hang gliding, windsurfing, jet skiing or spelunking. Water sports like Boating, water skiing, fishing and other recreational activities associated with Wyoming’s many rivers are also popular. Camping is also popular. It is allowed in both Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.

Wyoming is the least populated state in the United States, but also one of the most beautiful if getting back to nature is your thing. While the cattle industry dominates the state, you also find bears, moose and a variety of large beasts roaming freely in the state. If you remember the old cowboy movies of black and white screen, those people once roamed the streets of Wyoming. These cowboys were real people who now define the state called Wyoming. In Wyoming, the Rocky Mountains meet the vast Great Plains making the entirety of the state, a great plateau. The great plateau called Wyoming is broken off by several mountain ranges. You can now imagine the face of Wyoming lands. A great plain and a greater mountain range, this is Wyoming.

The Big Desert: Most of Wyoming is an arid desert. Ranching is the main source of livelihood and life in general here in Wyoming. Imagine receiving an overwhelming 10 inches of water per year. And as a consequence of course, the land is incapable of holding farm lands. And it is severely rare to see rolling lush green plains here in Wyoming. But Wyoming does support ranches which are sporadic in the numerous chains of mountain ranges in Wyoming.

Parks To Enjoy: There are also several parks in Wyoming. This of course means that there is sheer abundance in wildlife here in Wyoming. It may not be as green as Wisconsin but it is as surreal to live here. Imagine walking in the Great Plains and imagine the cowboys of past of walked the same grounds. “One, two, three – draw!” There are exactly eleven parks under the management of the National Park Service. One of these is of course, Yellow Stone Park.

Wyoming Real Estate: Wyoming real estate is meek and simple. There is not that much of a population in Wyoming because of the aridity that it yields. However, it is also great to live in a place where iconic cowboys once walked its lands. To live in Wyoming real estate is a chance to live where wildlife is treasured and where mountains and plains of great magnitude shape the geography. Wyoming real estate is dictated by its people and its lush geography. In fact, there are numerous peculiar geographical features in Wyoming. And the ranching industry in Wyoming is also greatly perpetuated. Ranching in Wyoming is like a family treasure. It is passed on from generation after generation, father to son to grandson. It’s something like a family curse but in a good way.

Live Life Better: If you are tired of living in close quarters, Wyoming may be the answer for you. Wyoming real estate is also appreciating at a nice pace.
To then live in Wyoming real estate is giving you a chance to live to go somewhere where technology is not as pronounced as other places. Where animals and are treasured and where Mother Nature’s ideas run wild. Imagine steep mountains meeting with great and vast plains. Wyoming is a place where life isn’t that much of an issue, where life is lived simply by living it. To invest in Wyoming real estate is nothing short of brilliant. Let’s all embark in a journey to the past and let the past become our present. Let’s walk away from technology and its grasp and live a simple, yet happy existence.
