Many of these can be seen in one day, but to really experience all of Yellowstone one must hike into the back country or take on of the exciting and interesting tours offered by various guide services.

Near Yellowstone is the Jackson Hole and Jackson area. With the Grand Teton Mountains and the Bridger-Teton National Forest as well as Jackson Lake you have a combination that creates one of the most breath-taking places on earth. Many enjoy spending their time here at a dude ranch or bed and breakfast. In the winter you can ski world class slopes and in the summer you can hike, mountain bike, and lake.

With so much natural scenery even the non-hiker can’t help but wonder down one of the many trails. With everything from easy short trails to challenging trails leading to peaks there is a trail for you. On the short trails comfortable shoes and a water bottle are probably enough but for the longer trails, including overnighters, you will want to prepare more.
